Samuel Hon is an executive leader and coach with over 15 years of experience in leadership development, marketing management and culture transformation. Samuel’s empathetic leadership and coaching style has successfully transformed teams and individuals while producing high-impact results. Presently, Samuel is the CEO of First Corporate Solutions (FCS), a 30-year-old technology, data and information services firm providing risk management and compliance solutions to legal, financial and government sectors. He was appointed as CEO and President to transform company culture and oversee the company across all functions including finance, technology, operations, marketing, sales and product management. Under his leadership, FCS has been unified by a new shared vision, guiding principles and corporate goals resulting in the achievement of the highest revenue and EBITA growth in the company’s history.
Previously, Samuel was the CMO responsible for marketing operations, sales management and corporate development, launching two data and technology subsidiaries and overseeing the company’s rebranding and digital marketing initiatives. In addition to his role at FCS, he also founded HON Marketing and provided marketing and creative consultation to global Fortune 500 and SMB clients in finance, technology and healthcare sectors. Samuel has also facilitated leadership communications, leader as coach and high impact presentations MBA courses at UC Berkeley Haas School of Business and UC Davis Graduate School of Management.
Samuel is a Stanford Certified Project Manager, Net Promoter Certified Associate, Pragmatic Marketing Certified (PMC-III) and Berkeley Certified Executive Coach with training and executive coaching experience in Italy and the US. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism – Strategic Communication with honors and distinction from the University of Wisconsin- Madison, and he has also completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School, Stanford University, UC Berkeley Haas and The Wharton School.
Samuel served two terms as President of the American Advertising Federation – Sacramento and he has been honored with over a dozen marketing and design awards. In addition, he was named to Sacramento Business Journal “40 Under 40” and the American Advertising Federation-Sacramento “Ad Person of the Year”.
